Performance can be measured in a number of ways. At CareSource Management Group, we use a variety of independent performance evaluations as a compass to guide us toward continual improvement of the health plans we operate and the services we provide.
These are just a few of the indicators that illustrate our commitment to the highest performance goals and quality standards.
- In Ohio, CareSource has been rated excellent in the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services performance evaluation system for Medicaid managed care plans. CareSource is judged on clinical performance, consumer access to primary care, administrative capacity and a host of other measures.
- In Michigan, results of the Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (CAHPS) indicate that Community Choice Michigan member ratings have improved since CareSource Management Group began administering the plan. The annual survey is conducted on behalf of the Michigan Department of Community Health.
- CareSource Management Group has taken initial steps toward earning a seal of approval from URAC, a health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry. The URAC accreditation process benchmarks our organization against nationally recognized standards. We expect URAC to make a decision on accreditation for our health plans and call center in 2005.
